Gage specialized in covers for books and magazines, partiodarly the former, working for Doubleday, Doran, Morrow Company, H.C. Kinsey, and Faeroe, and Rinehart, among others. He also did covers for the Sot.,day Evening Post and Youth’s Companion. He taught book illustration at the New York Evening School of Industrial Aft. In the latter part of his life he became a portraitist. He died August 7,1957.
