Hinchman held the position of Vice President of the Women’s Community Printmakers Association in Philadelphia and was a founding member of the Philadelphia Art Alliance. She exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and won the Mary Smith Prize at the Academy in 1935 and again in 1943.
